Patna: Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Prasad Yadav narrowly escaped injury during a student parliament event held at Bapu Sabhagar in Patna. The event, organised by Keshari Yadav, saw thousands of people gather. As Tejashwi was leaving the venue, the crowd became uncontrollable, leading to a dangerous situation.
Many people rushed forward to take selfies with Tejashwi, causing a stampede-like situation near the auditorium gate. Due to the pressure, the glass gate shattered suddenly. A Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) worker, Sunil Kumar, was badly hurt in the incident, suffering a serious head injury. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he is now receiving treatment.
Despite the chaos, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav was safely taken out of the venue with the help of security staff. The atmosphere at the event turned tense after the accident. People were seen panicking and trying to leave quickly. Thankfully, no other major injuries were reported.
The incident has raised concerns about poor crowd control and lack of safety arrangements at political events. RJD workers later said the situation could have been worse and urged for better planning and security in future events.
