Tejashwi Yadav Slams NDA Government Over Rising Migration Rates from Bihar

Tejashwi Yadav to Lead 40 KM Road Show in Ramgarh for RJD Candidate Ahead of By-Election

Patna: Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav has sharply criticized the Central Government, citing migration statistics that reveal a concerning trend among the people of Bihar.

During a press conference, Yadav stated, “Every year, 3 crore people leave Bihar in search of livelihood. This data is sourced from the Central Government and pertains to individuals registered on the Labour Department’s portal. Additionally, about 2 crore people, who are not registered, also migrate each year to earn a living.”

Yadav highlighted that this alarming rate of migration reflects poorly on the NDA government, both at the state and central levels. “These figures are a testament to how the people of Bihar continue to support the NDA, yet the government has failed to implement effective measures to improve livelihoods over the past 18 to 19 years,” he said.

He further emphasized that during his tenure of just 17 months, his party secured memorandums of understanding (MoUs) worth ₹50,000 crores from investors. Yadav criticized the current government for delaying many of these projects, stating, “Despite our efforts, most of these agreements are still pending under the current administration.”
