Temperature to Rise Up to 5°C in Bihar as Rainfall Subsides

Patna: After days of fluctuating weather, Bihar is expected to see more stable conditions, with dry spells forecast for most parts of the state. The Meteorological Centre in Patna has predicted a break in rainfall from March 23, bringing bright sunshine and a rise in temperature. A yellow alert has been issued for 12 districts.
According to the Met department, light to moderate rainfall may still occur in Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Saharsa, Madhepura, Purnia, Katihar, Bhagalpur, Banka, Jamui and Munger, with strong winds of 30-40 kmph, thunder and lightning expected. Residents in these areas have been advised to remain cautious.
Meteorologist Kumar Gaurav attributed the rainfall to a cyclonic circulation over northeastern Assam and adjoining areas. However, most other districts in Bihar will remain dry, with temperatures expected to rise by 3 to 5 degrees in the coming days.
The department also warned that a western disturbance could affect the western Himalayan region from the night of March 24, with a potential impact on Bihar. If the disturbance strengthens, parts of the state may experience light rain and cold winds again. However, the overall trend indicates an increasing influence of heat in the region.
