Tension Mounts as Bihar Braces for Floor Test Tomorrow: BJP MLAs Depart from Gaya to Patna in 3 Buses; 3 MLAs Unaccounted For
Patna: Patna braces for heightened political tensions as the Nitish Kumar-led government in Bihar gears up for a crucial floor test scheduled for Monday. With the stakes high, parties including the BJP, RJD, JDU, Congress, Left, and HAM (S) have fortified their respective MLAs amidst escalating uncertainty.
The BJP, which had housed its MLAs at a Gaya hotel for two days, has now dispatched them to Patna in three buses. These legislators are set to lodge at the residence of Deputy CM Vijay Sinha, with Bihar in-charge Vinod Tawde accompanying them.
In a bid to rally support, Union Home Minister Amit Shah virtually addressed BJP MLAs during an ongoing workshop in Gaya ahead of the floor test. However, the absence of three BJP MLAs from this session adds a layer of intrigue to the proceedings.
Meanwhile, RJD MLAs convened at Tejashwi Prasad Yadav’s bungalow on Saturday for a crucial meeting, where strict restrictions on movement were imposed. However, the absence of two MLAs from this gathering hints at potential internal dissent within the party ranks.
Simultaneously, six JDU MLAs were notably absent from a banquet hosted at Minister Shravan Kumar’s residence on Saturday. Today, two of these MLAs have made an appearance at a meeting scheduled at Minister Vijay Chaudhary’s residence, where Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is also present.
Adding to the anticipation, a significant overhaul in the team of legal advisors at Raj Bhavan has occurred just ahead of the floor test, underscoring the gravity of the situation as political factions brace for a pivotal showdown.
