Three Arrested for Liquor Smuggling in Patna, Including Two Minors

Patna: Police in Patna’s Nadi police station area have arrested three individuals for liquor smuggling, including two minors. The suspects were caught with 32 bottles of foreign liquor, each containing 500 ml, totaling 16 litres.

According to SHO Raju Kumar, the arrests were made during a routine patrol on Sunday night. A police team led by ASI Motilal Thakur spotted three suspicious youths near Samaspur. On seeing the police, they attempted to flee but were quickly apprehended. A search of their bags revealed multiple bottles of illicit liquor.

One of the arrested suspects has been identified as 19-year-old Ravi Ranjan Kumar, son of Ramraj Rai, a resident of Rampur Shyamchand in Raghopur police station limits, Vaishali district. The other two are minors. During questioning, they admitted that the liquor was intended for sale in Vaishali.

All three have been sent to judicial custody, and further investigations are underway.
