Araria: A major road accident in Araria district of Bihar has taken the lives of three young men. The crash happened near the Pothiya Over Bridge on the Forbesganj-Araria four-lane road when a fast-moving pickup van hit a bike. All three men on the bike died on the spot due to the strong impact.
The victims were biryani makers who were going to Forbesganj for work. Two of them were from Purnia district, while the third was from Uttar Pradesh. Police have not officially shared their names yet, but locals say they were working in the area for a long time.
After the accident, there was anger among people living nearby. They said that ever since the four-lane road was built, accidents have increased. There are no speed breakers, no police patrolling, and vehicles often drive at dangerous speeds. Many demanded that the government take quick action to make the road safer.
Police officers, including the traffic DSP, reached the spot quickly. The bodies were sent to Araria Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The pickup van has been seized, and the driver is missing. Police believe the accident happened due to high speed and careless driving.
