Train Numbers of 276 Passenger Trains to Change in Bihar from January 1
Patna: Passengers traveling on East Central Railway (ECR) routes are advised to check train numbers carefully starting January 1, as the numbers of 276 passenger trains will be changed. The trains, which were designated as special during the lockdown in the Covid period, will now revert to their original numbering. These trains include ICF, DEMU, and MEMU services.
As per ECR, the trains will no longer start with a zero (0) but will operate with regular numbers. Notably, 22 trains from Barauni Junction are part of this change. The new numbering system is being implemented to streamline train services and revert to pre-Covid standards.
For instance, train 05233 Barauni-Samastipur Passenger will now run as 75239, while 05234 Samastipur-Barauni Passenger will operate as 75240. Similarly, train 03217 Barauni-Danapur Passenger will run as 63217, and 03218 Danapur-Barauni Passenger will now be 63216.
