Training for Bihar Sports Talent Search Competition Mashal 2024 Successfully Concludes in Patna
Patna: The training program for the successful organization of Bihar Sports Talent Search Competition, Mashal 2024, jointly organized by the Education Department, Sports Department, and Bihar State Sports Authority, concluded on Tuesday. The program aimed to train Physical Education Teachers, Physical Education-cum-Health Instructors, Sports In-charges, and Computer Teachers of Patna district.
The five-day training session was held in the seminar hall of Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Rajendra Nagar, Patna. About 2,000 participants received guidance on the Mashal program’s objectives and implementation from State Trainer Abhishek Kumar, authorized by the Bihar State Sports Authority, along with District Master Trainers Rakesh Kumar, Sudarshan Kumar, Manoj Kumar, Manoj Kumar Singh, Rupesh Chandra Kant, Pankaj Kumar, Sudhanshu Ranjan, Suraj Kumar, Raj Kumar, and Varun Kumar. Detailed technical information was provided regarding the battery test and games like athletics, cycling, kabaddi, football, and volleyball at school, block, district, and state levels.
Kumkum Pathak, District Program Officer, Patna, informed that on the final day of training, teachers from Phulwarisharif, Sampatchak, Naubatpur, and Punpun blocks received their training. The program ensured all participants were equipped with the necessary skills to conduct the upcoming competitions effectively.
Om Prakash, District Sports Officer, Patna, stated that the registration of students and the battery test would be conducted online on the Mashal portal from December 30, 2024, to January 5, 2025. Competitions for boys and girls under-14 and under-16 in athletics, kabaddi, volleyball, football, and cycling are scheduled at the school level from January 7-9, 2025, and at the block level from January 15-17, 2025.
