Patna : A severe traffic jam has brought the Mahatma Gandhi Setu to a standstill, with thousands of vehicles stranded on the Patna-Hajipur route following a collision between two trucks early on Wednesday morning.
The bridge, a crucial link between northern and southern Bihar, is no stranger to congestion, but commuters have been particularly affected by the gridlock in the sweltering heat. Witnesses reported that both trucks remained on the bridge after the crash, exacerbating the situation.
Local authorities are currently working to clear the obstruction, but delays persist. Travellers have been advised to seek alternative routes where possible to avoid prolonged waits.
