Uncontrolled Truck Crashes Into Shop in Muzaffarpur, Kills 19-Year-Old Mechanic

A 19-year-old bike mechanic died after an out-of-control truck rammed into a shop in Muzaffarpur while he was having breakfast.

Muzaffarpur: A 19-year-old man died in Muzaffarpur after an uncontrolled truck ploughed into a shop on Monday afternoon. The victim, Rakesh Kumar, a resident of Vishunpur Baghnagari in the Sakra police station area, was having breakfast when the truck crashed into the establishment, killing him on the spot.

Eyewitnesses said the truck veered off the road at high speed and smashed into several roadside shops before crashing into the hotel where Rakesh was seated. Panic broke out in the area as the truck’s driver and cleaner attempted to flee the scene. While the driver managed to escape, the cleaner was apprehended by local residents.

Police from Sakra station, led by Station House Officer Raju Kumar Pal, reached the spot shortly after receiving information. The injured cleaner was taken to the Sakra Referral Hospital for treatment, while Rakesh’s body was sent for postmortem.

The truck has been seized and further investigation is underway. Locals expressed anger over the lack of speed regulation and called for better enforcement of traffic laws in the area.
