Union Minister Tokhan Sahu Reviews Central Schemes with Urban Development Minister Nitin Nabeen
Patna: Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development Tokhan Sahu held a crucial meeting with Bihar Urban Development Minister Nitin Nabin at Maurya Hotel in Patna on Monday. The meeting focused on reviewing the progress of various central schemes under the ministry, with senior officials from the Bihar government also in attendance. The discussions covered several key initiatives, including the Amrit Yojana, Smart City Mission, Swachh Bharat Mission, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), and the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Urban Livelihood Mission.
The Union Minister emphasized the importance of completing housing projects on time and with quality. He highlighted that Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) is one of the world’s largest affordable housing programs and directed officials to prioritize its swift execution. Additionally, he stressed the need to prioritize sanitation efforts under the Swachh Bharat Mission to ensure cleanliness and hygiene across urban areas.
Minister Nitin Nabin provided an update on the status of central schemes in Bihar and assured the Union Minister that the state government is committed to ensuring the successful implementation of these initiatives. Officials from the ministry in Delhi also participated in the meeting through an online platform.
Before the meeting, Union Minister Tokhan Sahu visited the Badi Patan Devi Temple and Patna Sahib Gurudwara to offer prayers for the prosperity of the country and the state of Bihar.
