Union Textile Minister Giriraj Singh Promises Muzaffarpur Textile Hub Transformation
Patna: Union Textile Minister Giriraj Singh visited Muzaffarpur to inspect the district’s textile industry, with a significant police presence ensuring security. Accompanied by several officials, including Bihar’s Industry Minister Nitish Mishra, District Magistrate Subrat Kumar Sen, and SP Bhanu Pratap Singh, Singh outlined ambitious plans for the region’s development.
Giriraj highlighted the collaborative efforts of the Bihar and central governments to transform Muzaffarpur into a major textile hub. “The presence of central officials here today underscores our commitment,” he said. “With the state and central governments working in tandem, Bihar’s development is unstoppable.”
Emphasizing the support from the central government, Giriraj noted, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appointed eight NDA MPs from Bihar as ministers. This initiative will be a milestone, as central ministers will create a comprehensive road map for their respective departments, paving the way for Bihar’s development. I have visited Manchester with the Congress, but now Muzaffarpur will see a new wave of development.”
Bihar Industry Minister Nitish Mishra underscored the vital role of the Textile Ministry in the state’s economic growth. “After agriculture, textiles are the most significant source of employment in Bihar,” he stated. “Today, we held a high-level meeting in Patna with industry officials from both the Bihar Government and the Government of India. We discussed Bihar’s needs with Union Minister Giriraj Singh, and we will prepare and approve an action plan accordingly. The textile industry will play a pivotal role in Bihar’s future.”
