Patna: A four-member delegation from Vietnam is set to arrive in Patna on Wednesday, for a four-day official visit aimed at fostering industrial and tourism collaborations between Bihar and Vietnam.

The delegation includes Dinh Vinh Chuong, President of the Vietnam International Entrepreneurship Networking Club; Phung Kang Dung, Chairperson of the Vietnamese Overseas Committee; Lam Van Diep, CEO of Triple 7 Travel Company; and Le Khac Sinhh, a journalist specializing in economic affairs.

Their expertise spans entrepreneurship, tourism development, and media outreach, making them key players in forging meaningful partnerships with Bihar.

The delegation will explore opportunities to enhance bilateral trade and sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Bihar Industries Association (BIA).

The visit will include meetings with Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister, Tourism Minister, Industry Minister, and other senior officials.

Additionally, the delegation will tour key Buddhist heritage sites such as Gaya, Rajgir, Nalanda, and other locations of cultural significance.  These interactions are expected to pave the way for stronger industrial ties and boost tourism between the two regions.

According to KPS Keshari, President of BIA, the initiative was sparked by discussions during a recent business trip to Vietnam by BIA member Nikhil Singh and Dubai-based entrepreneur Umar Ejaz.

“During their visit, they identified immense potential for collaboration between Bihar and Vietnam in multiple sectors. Based on their insights, we extended an invitation to the Vietnamese delegation,” Keshari said.

He added: “Vietnam’s predominantly Buddhist population frequently visits Bihar for pilgrimage purposes. With Patna Airport undergoing upgrades to accommodate international flights, there is a strong possibility of direct air connectivity between Patna and Vietnam through Vietnam Airlines. This could significantly boost tourism and trade relations.”

Amarnath Jaiswal, General Secretary of BIA, emphasized that the MoU will focus on industrial cooperation and mutual support for business ventures.  “This collaboration will not only benefit entrepreneurs but also contribute positively to Bihar’s economy,” Jaiswal stated.
