‘Village Premier League’ to Spotlight Bihar’s Rural Cricket Talent
Patna: In a significant move to discover and nurture cricket talent at the grassroots level, the Bihar Cricket Association (BCA) has announced the launch of the ‘Village Premier League.’ This initiative aims to tap into the hidden potential of cricketers residing in rural Bihar, offering both men and women an opportunity to showcase their skills on a larger platform. The dates for the league will be finalized soon. This league is expected to elevate the profile of Bihar cricket and contribute to the state’s sporting success.
In addition to the Village Premier League, the BCA has committed ₹5 lakh to each district for the construction of turf wickets. This initiative aims to improve the quality of cricket infrastructure across Bihar. Furthermore, each district association will receive ₹1.2 lakh annually to cover various operational expenses related to cricket activities.
