Weather in Bihar likely to commence wintery march from November 10 onwards
Patna: Residents of Bihar are beginning to feel the telltale nip in the morning and evening air. The mercury has taken a noticeable dip, with Monday morning seeing minimum temperatures across the state staying well below 20 degrees Celsius. However, the daytime temperatures largely hover above the 30-degree mark.
An official from the Patna Meteorological Centre has forewarned that the cold is gearing up to tighten its grip, commencing its wintry march from November 10 onwards. Following this date, the minimum temperatures are expected to consistently drop, setting the stage for chilly days ahead. It’s anticipated that, by the time Diwali and Chhath Puja, the region’s most revered festivals, roll around, residents will be reaching for their winter attire.
Forecasts for the upcoming week suggest that Bihar’s weather will maintain its dry composure. Daytime temperatures are forecasted to remain in the moderate range of 30 to 32 degrees Celsius, while nighttime lows are set to be in the 18 to 20 degrees Celsius bracket. In the tranquil morning and evening hours, a veil of mist or fog may grace many parts of the state, offering a characteristic embrace of the changing season.
Meteorologists attribute this atmospheric shift to the persistent flow of dry and cold westerly and northwesterly winds in the region. This meteorological phenomenon is expected to keep Bihar’s weather relatively dry for the next 24 hours, while simultaneously marking the advent of winter’s embrace, heralding a season of cozy sweaters and steaming cups of chai for the residents of the state.
