Weather Update: Rain Likely in Parts of Bihar as Cyclonic Circulation Over Assam Brings Cloudy Skies

Patna: A cyclonic circulation over northeast Assam and its surrounding areas is influencing the weather conditions in Bihar. As a result, the state is expected to experience partly cloudy skies, though no significant change in maximum and minimum temperatures is anticipated.

According to the Meteorological Center in Patna, a western disturbance is set to impact the Himalayas and nearby regions on April 8. This has led to the issuance of a yellow alert for light rainfall in Nalanda, Jehanabad, Gaya, Nawada, Begusarai, Sheikhpura, Jamui, Banka, and Patna.

Additionally, districts such as Munger, Bhagalpur, Khagaria, Madhepura, Saharsa, Supaul, Araria, Purnia, Kishanganj, and Katihar may witness thunderstorms accompanied by winds blowing at a speed of 40-50 km per hour.

Over the next 24 hours, dry weather is expected across several regions, with partly cloudy conditions at some locations. On Thursday, the maximum temperature increased in several districts, except Madhubani, Araria, Purnia, and Dehri.

Patna recorded a maximum temperature of 36.6 degrees Celsius, while Khagaria reported the highest at 38.8 degrees Celsius. The weather in Patna and its surrounding areas remained dry and partly cloudy.

In the past 24 hours, temperatures rose across Bihar, with notable increases in several districts. Patna saw a rise of 2 degrees, Valmiki Nagar by 3 degrees, Darbhanga by 2.4 degrees, Muzaffarpur by 1.5 degrees, and Jiradei by 1.7 degrees. Begusarai and Sheikhpura recorded an increase of 1.1 degrees each, Samastipur by 1.9 degrees, Vaishali by 2.3 degrees, and Sasaram by 2.5 degrees.

The sharpest increase was in Buxar, where the maximum temperature surged by 5.3 degrees, while Bhojpur recorded a rise of 3 degrees.

Meanwhile, Patna’s minimum temperature was recorded at 22 degrees Celsius, Gaya at 19.6 degrees, Bhagalpur at 20.2 degrees, and Muzaffarpur at 19 degrees.
