Ara/ Patna : In a disturbing incident in Bihar, a young woman was pushed from a moving train after she attempted to resist a mobile phone snatching. The attack occurred on Sunday morning at Ara railway junction, in Bhojpur district, leaving the 25-year-old victim with serious injuries.
The woman, identified as Tanu Kumari from Fatehpur village in the Sikarhatta police station area, was en route to Ara from Piro to purchase medicine. As the train slowed down at platform number three of Ara station, she was approached by a group of miscreants who attempted to steal her mobile phone. When Kumari protested, the robbers pushed her out of the train, causing her to fall.
Kumari was immediately rushed to Sadar Hospital, where she is receiving treatment for her injuries. Speaking about the attack, she explained how the miscreants targeted her as the train slowed, and after she tried to defend herself, they pushed her off the moving vehicle.
This attack highlights a troubling trend of criminal activity targeting passengers on Bihar’s trains. Only weeks ago, a similar incident occurred in Bhagalpur, where a 21-year-old student, Kajal Kumari, was fatally thrown from the Kamakhya-Gaya Express during a robbery. Kajal, who was preparing for banking exams, was killed when she resisted a theft attempt on the train. Her tragic death has intensified concerns about passenger safety in the region.
