Patna: Police in Patna’s Khusrupur area have recovered the dismembered body of an unidentified woman, whose neck, hands, and feet were severed from her torso, suggesting a brutal murder. The remains were discovered in a secluded part of Jagmal Bigha village, sending shockwaves through the local community.

Upon discovering the body, villagers immediately alerted the Khusrupur police. Station Chief Arvind Kumar and his team arrived at the scene with a forensic team and dog squad to collect evidence. Authorities believe the body was discarded in this remote location in an attempt to conceal the crime.

The body was taken into custody and sent to Patna’s NMCH for a post-mortem. Efforts to identify the woman through enquiries with local villagers have so far been unsuccessful. The body will be held for 72 hours in hopes that someone may come forward with information to identify her.

According to Khusrupur police, the remains were found by villagers returning from work near a hillside, who then alerted others, causing a crowd to gather. The investigation is ongoing, with further actions pending based on the results of the post-mortem examination.
