World-Class Bus Terminal Approved for Rajgir to Boost Tourism and Ease Traffic
Rajgir: A state-of-the-art interstate bus terminal is set to be constructed in Rajgir, one of Bihar’s most prominent tourist destinations. The new terminal, which will be built on 30 acres of land, aims to improve the city’s traffic system while also enhancing tourism. The project has been approved by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, and work is progressing rapidly, according to Assistant Collector and Circle Officer Tushar Kumar.
Strategic Location and Modern Facilities
The terminal will be constructed on Ordnance Factory Bypass Road, a key location that connects major routes including Rajgir-Bihar Sharif (NH-82), Patna-Ranchi (NH-20), and State Highway 71. Officials say this will improve connectivity for both tourists and daily commuters.
Passengers will have access to a range of modern amenities, including:
- Air-conditioned rest areas
- 24-hour drinking water facilities
- Deluxe toilets
- A spacious parking area
- Guest house facilities for overnight travellers
- Easing Congestion in Rajgir
The existing bus stand near Patel Chowk has long been a source of congestion in the city. Officials believe the new terminal will significantly reduce the burden of heavy vehicle traffic in central Rajgir, easing gridlock and making travel more convenient for residents and visitors alike.
Although a timeline for the project’s completion has not been confirmed, authorities believe it will play a key role in boosting tourism and economic growth in Rajgir.
