Yellow Alert for Dense Fog in 10 Bihar Districts: Cold Snap Expected From February 1
Patna: A yellow alert has been issued for dense fog across 10 districts of Bihar, with westerly winds expected to bring a noticeable chill, according to Patna meteorological centre.
Two western disturbances, forecast to become active over the Himalayan region on January 29 and February 1, are likely to cause a drop in temperature across the state from February 1, meteorologist Kumar Gaurav said.
“The sky will remain clear over the next five days, leading to above-normal maximum temperatures in most areas. However, morning fog is likely in the Terai districts,” he added.
In Patna, dense fog is expected in the morning, while the day will see normal weather with sunshine emerging as time progresses. The slow wind speed is expected to make the cold feel less severe.
On Monday, weather conditions in the state remained dry. Madhubani recorded the highest temperature at 26.7°C.
