Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary Criticises RJD, Highlights NDA’s Commitment to Backward Classes
Patna: Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, speaking at the birth anniversary celebrations of Emperor Jarasandh and the Chandravanshi Samman Rally at Miller High School Ground in Patna, highlighted the NDA government’s efforts to uplift backward and extremely backward communities. Chaudhary praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for ensuring justice and representation for these communities, contrasting their governance with the alleged failures of Lalu Prasad’s regime.
“During Lalu Prasad’s 15 years in power, no reservations were given to extremely backward classes or Dalits, despite relying on their votes,” Chaudhary remarked, accusing the former RJD government of corruption and neglect.
Chaudhary lauded Nitish Kumar’s leadership, emphasizing his contributions to social justice and development, particularly for the extremely backward classes. “Nitish Kumar, hailing from Rajgir, the land of Jarasandh, has brought justice through development and integrated the extremely backward society into the mainstream,” he stated, referencing initiatives started by former Chief Minister Karpuri Thakur.
He also accused the Lalu-Rabri government of hypocrisy regarding social justice, citing the lack of reservation in Zila Parishad elections in 2001 and the appointment of Rabri Devi as Chief Minister instead of an extremely backward leader when Lalu faced legal troubles. “The RJD reserves leadership posts for the Lalu family, showcasing a stark difference between their words and actions,” he added, pointing to Rajya Sabha nominations within the family.
The Deputy Chief Minister also reflected on Bihar’s rich history, highlighting Emperor Jarasandh’s contributions to leadership and social harmony. He commended Pramod Chandravanshi, President of the All India Chandravanshi Chetna Parishad, for organizing the event, describing it as a significant step toward preserving and celebrating Bihar’s cultural heritage.
