Bihar Government Initiates Recruitment for Minority Residential Schools, Announces Training and Welfare Measures

Patna: The Bihar government has initiated the recruitment process for teachers and non-teaching staff in 13 minority residential schools across the state. A total of 481 contractual vacancies are to be filled, according to Minority Welfare Minister Mohammad Zaman Khan, who reviewed the progress in a recent meeting with department officials, including Secretary Mohammad Suhail.

In addition to the recruitment drive, the state government has outlined several initiatives aimed at supporting minority communities. Minister Khan highlighted that arrangements have been made to accommodate 5,358 minority students in 50 hostels across various districts. These hostels, built and operated by the government, provide essential facilities for students pursuing education.

Under the ongoing Bihar Madrasa Strengthening Scheme, launched in 2018-19, the government has focused on infrastructure development in madrasas. The construction of classrooms, office spaces, science laboratories, and libraries is being undertaken to modernize educational facilities. Additionally, multipurpose buildings have been constructed under the Bihar State Waqf Scheme to cater to the needs of minority communities.

Meanwhile, preparations for next year’s Haj pilgrimage are also underway. A total of 2,673 Haj pilgrims from Bihar will undergo training sessions. The state government has made arrangements for vaccinating these pilgrims to ensure their health and safety during the journey.

The welfare department is also focusing on employment readiness among minority students. Special training was provided for the physical test of the constable recruitment exam conducted by the Central Selection Board of Bihar. Furthermore, coaching programs were organized to help candidates prepare for the Judicial Services Examination and the 70th Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination.

These measures are part of the Bihar government’s broader effort to uplift minority communities through education, skill development, and infrastructure support.
