Ban on operation of private boats in Ganga in Patna on December 31 and January 1

Patna: Private boat operations in the Ganga will remain closed on December 31 and January 1. Sadar Sub-Divisional Officer Gaurav Kumar has banned it under Section 163 of the IPC. Action will be taken against those who violate the order. He said that on New Year’s Day a large number of people cross the Ganga to celebrate picnic. In such a situation, there will be a possibility of accident if more people are carried than the capacity. To ensure the safety of the general public and to maintain law and order, operation of private boats has been banned.
