Student Dies Allegedly by Suicide in Danapur, Share Market Loss Suspected
Patna: Rahul Kumar Singh alias Bittu, a 31-year-old student, was allegedly found hanging in his room in the Danapur police station area of Patna on Wednesday morning. The incident occurred at Gola Road Shri Ram Nagar Road No. 5. Danapur police took custody of the body and sent it for post-mortem at the sub-divisional hospital.
Rahul, the son of Janardan Prasad Singh, had reportedly been investing in the share market and was believed to be under stress due to financial losses. According to his family, everything seemed normal on Tuesday night. His younger sister, Preeti Singh, mentioned that Rahul had brought milk at 9 pm and later went to sleep after dinner. However, when the family tried contacting him the next morning, they discovered him hanging on the upper floor of the house.
The family revealed that Rahul’s father had recently deposited Rs. 6 lakhs in his account, but his mobile showed the account balance as zero. It is suspected that he allegedly took his own life due to depression caused by significant losses in the share market.
Police have completed the post-mortem and handed the body over to the family. The Danapur police station in-charge confirmed that an investigation is ongoing to determine the exact circumstances of the incident.
