Patna: A western disturbance affecting the foothills of the Himalayas is likely to bring light rain to several districts in southern Bihar, including Patna, Buxar, Bhojpur, Rohtas, Bhabua, Aurangabad, Arwal, Gaya, Nalanda, Sheikhpura, Nawada, Begusarai, Lakhisarai, and Jehanabad. The rain is expected between December 27 and 29.
According to the Meteorological Center in Patna, partly cloudy weather during this period will keep the minimum temperature above normal in most areas. Dense fog is forecast for the south-western parts of the state over the next two days, prompting authorities to issue an appeal for caution.
A yellow alert has been issued for lightning and thunder on December 28 in 13 districts, including Patna, Bhojpur, Arwal, Rohtas, Buxar, Bhabua, Aurangabad, Gaya, Nawada, Nalanda, Begusarai, Lakhisarai, and Jehanabad. Light rain is also anticipated in some areas during this time.
Despite the forecast of light rain, the weather in many parts of the state is expected to remain dry. The minimum temperature in districts like Begusarai, Vaishali, Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, Gopalganj, Darbhanga, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, and Madhubani is predicted to range between 5°C and 8°C, while other districts may see temperatures between 8°C and 10°C.
