Danapur SDO Inspects Progress of Danapur-Bihta Elevated Corridor Construction

Patna: The Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) of Danapur conducted an inspection of the under-construction Danapur-Bihta Elevated Corridor on Saturday to review progress and address any challenges in the project. The elevated corridor, deemed crucial for improving connectivity between Patna and Bihta, is progressing steadily, with the district administration ensuring timely resolution of issues and support for the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).

The SDO confirmed that land acquisition has been successfully completed in 22 villages, with compensation payments for land and structures being processed expeditiously. The District Magistrate has directed the District Land Acquisition Officer to accelerate any pending compensation payments to farmers. During the inspection, the SDO emphasised that alternative traffic arrangements are being implemented to minimise inconvenience during construction.

The elevated corridor, expected to be completed in approximately 20 months, will provide a seamless travel experience for residents and commuters. According to the District Magistrate, the project is part of a broader effort to enhance infrastructure across Patna district, with a focus on public interest and improved traffic management.

In addition to the corridor, several other significant projects are underway in Danapur subdivision, including the Civil Enclave Construction at Bihta Military Airport, the Usri-Chhitnavo Path Nirman Project, and the Hathikhan Mod-Chandmari Path Widening and Strengthening Project. Regular inspections are being conducted to ensure steady progress and timely completion of these initiatives.
