Three Detained for Attempt to Derail Train in Motihari
Motihari: Three individuals have been detained by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) in connection with an attempt to derail the Champaran Satyagraha Express near Chailaha Halt in Motihari. The incident occurred on January 7, night when miscreants placed a cemented pole on the railway track.
Initial investigations have revealed that the crime was allegedly committed by Mumtaz, Jhooman Miya, and a minor due to a personal dispute.
RPF Post Commandant Chandan Paswan stated that the interrogation of the suspects is ongoing and efforts are underway to identify and apprehend any other individuals involved in the incident.
The loco pilot of the train traveling from Anand Vihar to Muzaffarpur successfully averted a major disaster by applying emergency brakes upon noticing the obstruction on the track. Given the gravity of the situation, a four-member central investigation team is being dispatched to the site to conduct a thorough investigation.
