Etawah (Uttar Pradesh) – A massive fire erupted in a clone special train traveling from Delhi to Bihar on Wednesday evening, completely engulfing the S1 coach. The incident occurred as train number 02570 passed through Sarai Bhopat railway station in Uttar Pradesh.
It was revealed that the affected coach had exceeded its passenger capacity, leading to a situation where passengers had to escape through windows to ensure their safety. Fortunately, there have been no reported casualties, but the incident resulted in the destruction of several passengers’ belongings inside the bogie.
Railway authorities have reported the closure of Overhead Equipment (OHE) on the Howrah-Delhi route. Train operations on this route have been temporarily halted. This incident has impacted 16 trains. The investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.
The train, which originates from New Delhi, makes stops at Chhapra station, following Kanpur and Gorakhpur, before reaching the Bihar border. Subsequently, it proceeds to Darbhanga station via Muzaffarpur and Samastipur. The scheduled arrival time at Darbhanga is 10 am.
