Nitish Kumar Inaugurates Projects Worth Rs. 1000 Crores in Madhubani
Madhubani: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar visited Madhubani as part of his Pragati Yatra, announcing projects worth Rs. 1000 crores and laying the foundation for 140 development schemes. During his visit, he reviewed key infrastructure projects, interacted with Jeevika Didis, and emphasized his commitment to regional progress.
Foundation Stone for 140 Projects Laid
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar visited Madhubani as part of his Pragati Yatra, landing at Durgapatti by helicopter at 10:50 am. During the visit, he laid the foundation stone for 140 development projects and announced investments worth Rs. 1000 crores for the region.
Interaction with Jeevika Didis
While interacting with Jeevika Didis, a video emerged of a woman offering him a dupatta, which he did not accept as he appeared preoccupied. Later, he appreciated their work, saying, “Remember the work of the Chief Minister,” and praised their improved dressing sense. Nitish reaffirmed his commitment to meeting Jeevika Didis on every visit.
Inspection of Development Schemes
The Chief Minister reviewed several development schemes, including the Anganwadi Center, Scheduled Caste Hall, Har Ghar Nal-Jal Yojana, and Pucca Nali-Gali Yojana. Additionally, he inaugurated MNREGA projects like rainwater harvesting, Amrit Sarovar beautification, and a park at the Higher Secondary School in Durgapatti.
Focus on Major Projects
Nitish inspected the Kamla Jeevchh River Inter-Linking Project in Sukki village and inaugurated the Sugarwe River Front at Sangram in Jhanjharpur block. He also visited the endpoint of the Western Koshi Canal at Bidesar on NH-57, highlighting the importance of these projects for the region’s development.
Appreciation for Jeevika Didis’ Efforts
The Chief Minister commended Jeevika Didis for uplifting women’s standards of living, calling their work a significant example of women empowerment. JDU National President Sanjay Jha noted that Nitish’s Mithila visit demonstrates his dedication to accelerating regional development.
Commitment to Mithila’s Progress
Local MP Rampreet Mandal said the Chief Minister’s presence resolves issues on the spot and boosts the area’s growth. Nitish will further evaluate Mithila’s cultural and investment opportunities and prioritize projects like reviving the Kamla river and interlinking the Koshi Canal. His visit has ignited hope among locals for substantial progress.
