Nitish Kumar criticizes IAS officer S. Siddharth during Madhubani visit
Madhubani: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, during his Pragati Yatra in Madhubani, expressed dissatisfaction with IAS officer S. Siddharth over his understanding of key government programs. Referring to the Jeevika initiative, Nitish said, “You don’t know anything,” highlighting the lack of clarity about the program’s goals.
The Chief Minister emphasized how the Jeevika initiative, launched in 2006, has transformed the lives of women in Bihar through self-help groups. Drawing from his experiences as a Union Minister in 2005, he said the program was introduced in the state to uplift women and has significantly improved their standard of living.
The remark was made while Nitish was inspecting various development projects in Durgapatti and interacting with Jeevika Didis. He praised the members for their efforts, noting improvements in their work and appearance. Despite the sharp words, Nitish reaffirmed the state’s commitment to empowering women and ensuring the success of programs like Jeevika.
