Lakhisarai: A man was shot dead on board the Gaya-Howrah Express near Kiul railway station. The victim, identified as Dharmendra Sah, a resident of Mahisona village in Lakhisarai district, succumbed to his injuries on the train.

According to reports, a group of assailants, believed to be three or four individuals, boarded the train and opened fire on Sah at close range. Following the shooting, the assailants pulled the emergency chain and fled the scene. The incident caused panic among fellow passengers.

The local police have initiated an investigation into the incident. Preliminary investigations suggest that the murder may be linked to a land dispute. Police are examining documents found on the victim and questioning passengers to gather further information.

This incident has sent shockwaves through the community and highlights the growing concern over rising crime levels in the region.
