Flight Carrying Nityanand Rai Returns to Delhi Due to Dense Fog at Patna Airport

Patna: A flight from Delhi to Patna carrying Union Minister Nityanand Rai was unable to land at Jai Prakash Narayan Airport due to dense fog. After circling the skies over Patna, the plane returned to Delhi, leaving passengers inconvenienced.

IndiGo flight number 6E 5008, with over 150 passengers, including the Union Minister, was scheduled to land at Patna on January 21. Poor visibility on the runway, caused by heavy fog, prevented the aircraft from making a safe landing.

The flight hovered over Patna for some time, but the pilot ultimately decided to divert back to Delhi. Passengers on board, including the minister, faced significant delays and inconvenience due to the weather conditions.

Reports indicate that flight operations at Patna airport have been severely disrupted by dense fog affecting Bihar for the past two days. On January 21, the first flight was only able to land after 11 am, and multiple flights experienced delays.

The weather conditions have also disrupted rail services across the state, compounding travel difficulties for residents.
