Bihar: Fatal Collision on NH 922 Claims Two Lives, Child Injured
Buxar – Two persons died in an accident near Maharajganj village on NH 922 today morning, when a speeding car hit them.
The deceased persons have been identified as 70-year-old Shivnarayan Paswan and 25-year-old Pappu Paswan.
Pappu Paswan, who was walking on the roadside with his 2-year-old child in his lap, was struck by the car. Pappu died instantly, and the child sustained injuries. The victims were residents of Maharajganj village. Another person injured in the accident has been taken to the hospital for treatment, while the car’s driver, also injured, has been sent to Buxar for medical care.
The car, reportedly carrying a family returning from Delhi for Chhath, lost control, leading to the unfortunate incident. The accident took place in the northern lane of the road, and the car was headed towards Patna.
Upon learning of the accident, enraged locals blocked Highway 922, demanding compensation. The police and the circle officer from Brahmpur police station reached the spot to manage the situation and address the concerns of the community. The villagers are seeking assistance and compensation in the aftermath of this accident.
