Jhunsi Special Train to Run 4 Trips for Kumbh Mela, Benefiting 2 Lakh Passengers from Darbhanga

Darbhanga: Keeping in mind the convenience of devotees traveling to the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, the railways have announced the operation of special trains from Darbhanga on four different days. Booking for these trains has already started.

Train number 05295 Darbhanga-Jhunsi Kumbh Mela Special will depart from Darbhanga at 9:00 pm on January 25, February 15, February 22, and March 1. The train will pass through Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, Hajipur, Ghazipur City, and Varanasi before reaching Jhunsi at 10:00 am the next day. Key stoppages include Samastipur at 10:30 pm, Muzaffarpur at 11:25 pm, and Varanasi at 7:05 am.

For the return journey, train number 05296 will depart from Jhunsi at 12:10 pm on January 26, February 16, February 23, and March 2. It will reach Varanasi at 3:35 pm, Hajipur at 10:40 pm, Muzaffarpur at 11:45 pm, and Samastipur at 1:00 am before arriving in Darbhanga at 2:30 am. The announcement of this train has brought joy to devotees, especially among elderly and female passengers, who have already started booking their tickets.

This special service is expected to benefit more than 2 lakh people and ease the load on other trains during the Maha Kumbh. Devotees from Mithilanchal are appreciating this initiative by the railways. Similar special trains have also been announced from Jaynagar and Saharsa to facilitate travel to the religious gathering.
