Hearing on BPSC 70th PT Exam Cancellation Postponed Again in Patna High Court

Hearing on BPSC 70th PT Exam Cancellation Postponed Again in Patna High Court

Patna: The Patna High Court has once again postponed the hearing on the cancellation of the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) 70th Preliminary Test (PT) examination. Scheduled for Tuesday, the hearing was deferred due to the judge being on leave. No date has been announced for the next hearing.

This is the second time the case has been delayed. On January 31, the hearing was postponed for the same reason, as Justice Arvind Singh Chandel was on leave.

The controversy surrounding the 70th PT exam has sparked intense protests in Patna. On January 30, aspirants staged an eight-hour-long demonstration demanding the cancellation of the examination, alleging irregularities. The protest led to multiple clashes between demonstrators and the police—first outside the BPSC office, then at the JD(U) office, and later at the Dakbungla intersection. The agitation, which began at 11 am, continued late into the evening, concluding around 7:30 pm.

With no clarity on the next hearing date, tensions remain high among candidates seeking a resolution to their demands.
