Minister Nitish Mishra Highlights Gaya’s Development Plans; Amritsar-Kolkata Corridor, Biodiversity Park, and Zoo Proposed

Gaya: A twenty-point meeting was held under the chairmanship of Gaya’s in-charge minister and state tourism & industries minister Nitish Mishra, where key development projects for the district were discussed. Addressing the meeting, Mishra stated that Gaya district is set to emerge on a global platform with large-scale development initiatives. One of the significant projects includes the Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Corridor, which is expected to generate employment opportunities for lakhs of people.

Cooperative Minister Dr. Prem Kumar announced that a biodiversity park will be developed on 150 acres near Kandi in Gaya district. This park aims to enhance environmental conservation and promote tourism in the region. Additionally, a proposal has been introduced for constructing a zoo in Gaya, making it the third such facility in Bihar after Patna and Nalanda.

During the meeting, officials from the Municipal Corporation and other civic bodies were instructed to ensure strict compliance with urban development guidelines. It was emphasized that all building maps approved for houses, apartments, hospitals, and other constructions must include parking facilities, rainwater harvesting systems, and designated green spaces such as parks.
