Post- Chhath Rush: ECR’s General Manager Conducts Thorough Inspection of Sonepur and Danapur Stations
Patna: The East Central Railways (ECR) has claimed to have implemented comprehensive measures to ensure the convenience and safety of passengers during post- Chhath Puja rush, with General Manager Anil Kumar Khandelwal personally overseeing real-time monitoring. Today, as part of this initiative, the General Manager visited Sonepur and Danapur stations to assess various facilities, including crowd management, cleanliness, and passenger safety.
At Sonepur station, ECR GM inspected the control room and instructed the officials to ensure smooth and hassle- free movement of the passengers.
During his visit at Danapur station, Khandelwal inspected the holding area and ticket counters designed to accommodate passengers and engaged in discussions with commuters, seeking their feedback on the facilities provided.
The General Manager inaugurated a new train service from Danapur to Bangalore. He also examined the passenger amenities on the Sanghamitra Express, taking a hands-on approach by interacting with passengers in both ordinary and sleeper class coaches to gather firsthand feedback.
Addressing a critical safety concern, GM Khandelwal appealed to passengers to refrain from carrying inflammable substances during their journeys, emphasizing the inherent dangers. To enforce this directive, a dedicated team of the Railway Protection Force has been formed to monitor individuals traveling with such substances and those consuming beedis and cigarettes on trains.
