Patna: With Bihar gearing up for assembly elections this year, infrastructure development in the state is gaining pace. A new four-lane road is set to be constructed from AIIMS Patna to Digha, aiming to ease traffic congestion in the capital. Work on the project has intensified, with Patna District Magistrate Dr Chandrashekhar Singh and Bihar State Road Development Corporation (BSRDC) Managing Director Shirshat Kapil Ashok inspecting the site on Monday to assess progress and discuss implementation strategies.
The construction of this road is expected to benefit lakhs of residents by improving connectivity and reducing travel time. In addition, officials also reviewed plans to widen Bailey Road from Saguna Mor to Rupaspur. The expansion of these key roads is expected to provide much-needed relief from chronic traffic congestion in Patna and nearby districts.
The DM, along with the Municipal Commissioner, Traffic Superintendent of Police, and officials from the Bihar Rajya Pul Nirman Nigam Limited, also inspected the under-construction multi-modal hub and subway. Once completed, these projects are expected to bring significant improvements to Patna’s transport infrastructure.
