Jan Suraj Party Outlines Candidate Selection Process for 2025 Bihar Assembly Elections

Patna: The Central Election Committee of the Jan Suraj Party on Wednesday detailed its candidate selection process for the upcoming Bihar assembly elections in 2025, outlining a multi-tier evaluation system based on ten key parameters.

R. N. Singh, the convenor of the committee, stated that applicants would be assessed at three levels. First, local residents, party officials, and assembly in-charge committees will conduct an initial evaluation. At the second level, district organizations and sub-divisional officers will assess candidates based on the prescribed parameters. Finally, the 11-member Central Election Committee will review recommendations from the district level and submit its final list to the party’s top leadership.

Election committee members Sarwar Ali, Dr. Bhupendra Yadav, Jitendra Mishra, Vinod Chaudhary, Suresh Sharma, and Ramprakash Sahni were also present at the press conference.

The party clarified that only the state’s core committee would have the authority to amend recommendations made by the Central Election Committee. Additionally, any committee member who applies for candidature will be barred from participating in the review meetings for their district.
