BJP Holds Meeting Ahead of PM Modi’s Bhagalpur Visit on Feb 24

Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Bhagalpur, Bihar, on February 24, where he will release the 19th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme and address a public gathering. The event, expected to draw a crowd of over five lakh people, including farmers from Bhagalpur and 13 surrounding districts, will take place at the airport ground.

In preparation for the visit, a high-level meeting of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and officials was held at Bhagalpur Town Hall. The meeting, chaired by BJP state president and Bihar’s revenue and land reforms minister Dr. Dilip Jaiswal, was attended by organizational general secretary Bhikhu Bhai Dalsania, former deputy chief minister Tarkishore Prasad, Bihar ministers Santosh Singh, Janak Ram, and Surendra Mehta, along with state general secretary Mithilesh Tiwari, Lalan Mandal, and core committee members from 13 districts.

Addressing a press conference following the meeting, Dr. Jaiswal emphasized the NDA government’s commitment to farmers’ welfare. “Prime Minister Modi has always prioritized the interests of farmers. His visit to Bhagalpur will not only mark the release of the 19th installment of the Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme but also reinforce the government’s dedication to improving farmers’ prosperity and income,” he said.

The event will also see the presence of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, adding to the political significance of the occasion. BJP state media in-charge Danish Iqbal, spokesperson Preeti Shekhar, and Bhagalpur district BJP representatives were also present at the press briefing.

Dr. Jaiswal further highlighted that Bihar has received several key allocations in the recent Union Budget, adding to the sense of anticipation ahead of the Prime Minister’s visit.
