Bihar Weather Update: Temperature Set to Rise, Light Rain Likely in Some Districts

Patna: The weather in Bihar remains stable, but temperatures continue to fluctuate slightly, keeping both daytime and nighttime readings above normal. The cold has completely dissipated, and residents are experiencing mild heat due to strong sunlight during the day.

According to Kumar Gaurav, a scientist at the Patna Meteorological Centre, temperatures are expected to rise further in the next 48 to 72 hours, with westerly winds continuing to flow across the region.

Meteorologists have observed cyclonic circulation in parts of Assam and Pakistan, along with a trough line extending from Gangetic West Bengal to Odisha via Chhattisgarh. Additionally, a Western Disturbance is becoming active. These combined weather patterns may lead to light rainfall in some districts of Bihar on 28 February and 1 March.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast sporadic rainfall in Kaimur, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Gaya, Nawada, Jamui, and Banka districts during this period. However, the intensity of the rain is expected to remain low, and no weather alert has been issued.
