Nine Dead, 13 Injured in Multiple Road Accidents Across Bihar

Patna: Nine people, including a couple, lost their lives in separate road accidents across different districts of Bihar, while 13 others sustained injuries and are undergoing treatment. The fatalities were reported from Sitamarhi (3), Supaul (2), Saran (2), Kaimur (1), and Aurangabad (1).
Three Killed in Bike Collision in Sitamarhi
A tragic accident occurred on NH-527C near Thikha village in Sitamarhi district on Monday night when two motorcycles collided. Three young men lost their lives, while two others were injured.
Speeding Scorpio Hits Bike in Supaul, Two Dead
In another accident on Monday night, a high-speed Scorpio rammed into a bike in Ward No. 15 of Bhawanipur North in Supaul district. The collision resulted in the deaths of two individuals. Following the accident, the Scorpio driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene.
Couple Dies in Saran Road Accident
In Saran district, a couple traveling from Jaigaon, Bhutan, to Prayagraj for the Kumbh Mela lost their lives in a road accident. Their two daughters, who were seated in the back of the car, sustained minor injuries.
Bus-Tata Magic Collision in Kaimur Leaves One Dead, 13 Injured
On Tuesday, near Lahurbari village in Kaimur district, a sudden braking by a bus on NH-30 led to a collision with a Tata Magic vehicle traveling behind it. A woman from Darbhanga, who was a passenger in the Tata Magic, succumbed to her injuries, while 13 others were injured. Eight of them sustained serious injuries and were rushed to the hospital.
Mohania police station in-charge, Priyash Priyadarshi, confirmed that 20 devotees from Darbhanga were traveling to Prayagraj in the Tata Magic for the Kumbh Mela when the accident occurred.
One Killed in Aurangabad Truck Collision
In Aurangabad district, a speeding container truck crashed into a stationary truck on an overbridge near Ratanuan petrol pump on GT Road on Tuesday. The co-driver of the container, identified as 20-year-old Arvind Kumar from Budhauli Faridpur Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, died in the accident.
Scorpio Returning from Maha Kumbh Collides with Hiva, Three Dead
On Monday night, a Scorpio carrying devotees returning from the Maha Kumbh collided with a Hiva truck on the Purvanchal Expressway in Sultanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. Three people, including two women, lost their lives in the crash.
The deceased were identified as Satyendra Pandey (52), his wife Madhubala Devi (48), and Rita Devi, wife of Ravindra Tiwari. Ravindra Tiwari, who is a sub-inspector in Bihar Police and posted in Gopalganj, suffered a leg fracture.
Satyendra Pandey’s elder son, Madhuresh Pandey, informed that the bodies were being brought back home for the final rites. The injured victims are currently receiving treatment at a private hospital.
The series of accidents have once again highlighted the need for stricter road safety measures and responsible driving to prevent such tragedies.
