Bhojpur: A six-year-old boy, Ashish Kumar, sustained a gunshot wound to the head during a wedding ceremony in Bhojpur due to celebratory firing. The incident took place in Tetaria village under the Udwantnagar police station area.

Ashish was immediately rushed to Ara Sadar Hospital for treatment and later referred to Patna due to the severity of his injuries. Upon receiving information, Udwantnagar police arrived at the scene and began an investigation into the matter.

According to Ashish’s great-grandfather, Degree Singh, the wedding ceremony was for the daughter of Ram Bachchan, a resident of the neighborhood. The baraat had come from Agarua village in the Jagdishpur police station area. Ashish had accompanied his parents and sister to the wedding and was standing near the stage during the jaimala ceremony when the incident occurred.
