Patna Airport Increases Flight Operations Under Revised Winter Schedule

Patna: Passengers flying in and out of Patna will have more travel options as Jayaprakash Narayan International Airport has increased its flight operations under a revised winter schedule. The updated timetable, which came into effect on March 1 and will remain in place until March 30, has raised the total number of daily flights to 43, up from the previous 39.
According to airport authorities, the revised schedule will see 86 aircraft movements between 7.10am and 11.25pm each day. The first flight to arrive is IndiGo’s Kolkata-bound service (6E-7085/7086), landing at 7.10am and departing at 7.40am. Meanwhile, the last flight of the day, IndiGo’s Bengaluru-bound service (6E-6256/6257), arrives at 10.45pm and takes off at 11.25pm.
Officials stated that the number of flights operated by different airlines has increased slightly under the new schedule, with some carriers adding more flights and others adjusting their timings. IndiGo remains the dominant airline at Patna airport, now operating 29 flights daily, up from 27. SpiceJet follows with six flights, while Air India will operate five and Air India Express three.
Currently, four airlines connect Patna to 13 domestic destinations, including New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad. Officials confirmed that no new airline slots have been requested for the upcoming summer schedule, which is expected to take effect by the end of March.
Patna’s airport remains a crucial hub for air connectivity in Bihar, with ongoing efforts to enhance flight frequency and streamline operations to accommodate increasing passenger demand.
