Patna: Bihar State Power Transmission Company Limited (BSPTCL) has been awarded an A+ rating in the latest classification by Power Finance Corporation Limited (PFC), a government-owned financial institution. The rating reflects the company’s strong financial health, efficient project execution, and operational effectiveness in power transmission across Bihar.
Energy minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav praised the achievement, calling it a significant milestone for the state’s power sector. “BSPTCL has played a crucial role in ensuring uninterrupted power transmission, strengthening Bihar’s energy security. Securing the A+ rating is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the company’s officers and employees,” he said.
The minister also highlighted Bihar’s transformation in power infrastructure, recalling a time when electricity was a rarity for many residents. “Under the leadership of the chief minister, the state has ensured 24/7 electricity supply, even in remote areas. BSPTCL’s efficiency and commitment have been instrumental in achieving this,” he added.
