Patna: The Commercial Taxes Department has launched a focused action plan to maximize revenue collection in the final week of March, as part of efforts to meet the financial year 2024-25 target. State Tax Commissioner-cum-Secretary Sanjay Kumar Singh has instructed officials to intensify monitoring of all potential revenue sources and implement strategic measures to ensure optimal tax collection before the fiscal year ends.

The department has identified key high-revenue zones across the state and deployed eight senior officers at both headquarters and divisional levels to oversee tax collection efforts. Special Commissioner-level officers have been assigned to divisional oversight, while Joint Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners will monitor collections at the zone level.

Additionally, all Divisional Commissioners (Administration) have been directed to supervise daily tax collection activities to ensure every possible revenue source is accounted for. This enhanced monitoring is expected to boost revenue intake in the crucial closing days of the financial year.
