Patna : A banquet hall with a capacity of 500 people is set to be constructed in the Mauryalok complex in Patna at an estimated cost of Rs 2.77 crore. The project is part of ongoing efforts to transform Mauryalok into a modern commercial hub, modelled after Delhiās Connaught Place.
The banquet hall, which will be located in Block A of the complex, is expected to serve as a venue for weddings, conferences, and other events. According to Animesh Kumar Parashar, Managing Director of Patna Smart City Limited, administrative approval has been granted, and a work order has been issued. Construction is scheduled to begin on April 1, with a target completion date set for June, allowing a three-month window for the project to be finalised.
The proposed hall will cover an area of 9,500 square feet, with a design that eliminates the need for supporting pillars in the middle, ensuring an unobstructed space. In addition to the main hall, the facility will include four rooms, a kitchen, and a 4,000-square-foot open garden adjoining the banquet area, adding to the aesthetic appeal.
The banquet hall is one of several amenities planned for the Mauryalok complex under the Patna Smart City initiative. The redevelopment plan also includes the addition of three cinema halls and a wellness centre. Authorities believe that these developments will not only enhance the infrastructure but also provide much-needed event space in the heart of the city.
The selection of a construction agency has been completed, and the design is expected to be finalised soon. Once completed, the banquet hall is likely to offer an attractive venue option for both residents and visitors to Patna.
