Patna: Bihar is witnessing an unusual surge in temperatures, with March feeling more like the peak of summer. The blazing sun and dry westerly winds have made daily life difficult, forcing people to stay indoors as roads and markets remain eerily quiet.
According to the Patna Meteorological Centre, there is no immediate relief from the rising temperatures, which are expected to remain high for at least the next five days. Officials warn that this year’s summer could break previous records, with several districts already recording temperatures above 37-38°C.
On Saturday, Dehri in Rohtas was the hottest place in the state, with the mercury touching 39.2°C. The relentless rise in temperatures has not only impacted people but also caused discomfort to animals and birds as hot winds sweep across the region.
With summer still weeks away, Bihar residents are already grappling with unusually harsh weather, making it a tough start to the season.
