Patna: Patna Women’s College hosted a dynamic Student Development Programme titled “The Bold Launch: Startup Hacks for Students” on Saturday, bringing fresh momentum to the startup aspirations of young minds. Organised by the Entrepreneurship Club under the aegis of the Mother Veronica Excellence and Innovation Centre and the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), the event aimed to equip students with practical tools and inspiration to kickstart their entrepreneurial journey.
The session featured Sidharth Kumar, Head of Educational Partnerships at UPES Dehradun, as the keynote speaker. He shared compelling stories of innovation and growth from some of India’s leading startups, including Zepto, BlueLearn, Skyroot Aerospace, Zerodha, and Ather Energy. Drawing lessons from these ventures, he urged students to embrace risk, foster creativity and think boldly in order to succeed in the competitive startup landscape.
Coordinated by Prof. Alok John, Dean of National and International Collaborations and Consultancy Services and Director of the Mother Veronica Excellence and Innovation Centre, the programme underscored the growing relevance of entrepreneurship in today’s global economy. In his welcome address, Prof. John encouraged students to take advantage of the expanding startup ecosystem and pursue ideas with confidence and conviction.
The event was anchored by Mahruk Firdaus, Premier Student Council Member and President of the Entrepreneurship Club, whose engaging presence helped energise the session. Megha, a fellow council member, concluded the programme with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the speaker, organisers and participants for their contributions in making the event a success.
