Patna: In a bid to boost urban infrastructure and ensure timely completion of civic works, Municipal Commissioner and BUIDCo Managing Director Animesh Kumar Parashar conducted an on-ground inspection of ongoing projects in Ward 47 on Monday. The review included visits to the Market Committee area, Bankipur Yard, and the Transfer Station, where he stressed the importance of maintaining both pace and quality in all construction activities.
A significant focus of the inspection was the drain being constructed by BUIDCo. The commissioner directed officials to expedite critical works including drain connection, leveling, and the installation of covers. Ensuring proper drainage ahead of the monsoon season was underscored as a top priority to mitigate waterlogging and improve sanitation in the area.
Parashar was accompanied by Additional Municipal Commissioner Rajan Sinha, the local ward councillor, and officials from both the Patna Municipal Corporation and BUIDCo. The joint presence highlighted the collaborative push by civic bodies to deliver infrastructure improvements more efficiently.
The inspection marks part of a broader citywide drive to monitor public works more closely, improve transparency, and reinforce the state government’s commitment to responsive urban governance.
